Sacred Pages > Adoration Of Blessed Sacrament

Adoration Of The
Blessed Sacrament
takes place every
Wednesday from
10. 00am - 8. 00pm.

Inaugurating the Year of the Eucharist in October 2004, Pope John Paul 11 encouraged adoration of the Blessed Sacrament.
"There is a particular need to cultivate a lively awareness of Christ's real presence, both in the celebration of the Mass and in the worship of the Eucharist outside the Mass....The presence of Jesus in the Tabernacle must be a kind of magnetic pole attracting an even greater number of souls enamoured of him, ready to wait patiently to hear his voice and, as it were, to sense the breathing of his heart. "O taste and see that the Lord is good!"

The Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has been a feature of Camolin for the past fourteen years. Parisioners and friends of the parish undertake and hour or half hour before the Blessed Sacrament each week so as to ensure that the Blessed Sacrament is attended at all times.

His Holiness concludes,
"May all of you, the Christian faithful, rediscover the gift of the Eucharist as light and strength for your daily lives in the world, in the exercise of your respective professions amid so many different situations. Rediscover this above all in order to experience the beauty and the mission of the family."

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament has been a source of great blessing and protection on the parish. Parishioners are encouraged to try to be faithful to the slot they offered and to try to find a replacement if they cannot fill it occasionally. New adorers are always welcome. OFFERING OF THE HOLY HOUR

My most sweet Jesus, I wish
during this hour to watch
with you and with the love of
my heart to console you for the
bitter sorrow which
overwhelmedyou in the
Garden of Gethsemanae.
I want to forget myself and all
that concerns me, except my
sins. I was the cause of sorrow
to you then; now I want to
comfort you. I offer you this
hour of prayer and
reparation for the conversion
of people and nations, and for
every other intention for which
you suffered and died. Help me
to pass this Holy Hour that I
may promote your interest
throughout the world.
